In a recent development, The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has recently launched a scheme for industrial land allotment near the proposed Jewar International airport. Under the scheme, YEIDA is offering 4000 sq. meters of land to set up an industry.
Giving more details about the scheme, Arunveer Singh, CEO of YEIDA, said, “The scheme will start from today. Plots over 4,000 square metres will be allotted to the industrialists under this open-ended scheme,”
He further said that the entire land allotment process will be held online. The authority will place a summary of the industrial land allotment scheme on the website. Interested people can go through the document and apply with detailed project report. The processing fee will be deposited online. Once the whole process with complete, we will analyse and scrutinise the applications before calling candidates for an interview and processing the land allotment.
According to senior official of YEIDA, an ace film producer has expressed interest in developing a film city near the Jewar International Airport area. Last week, the producer also paid a visit to the site and held discussions with officials concerned for allotment of 30-acre land.
“Some other investors like Vivo Mobile and Airtel have also expressed interest in the investment.” added YEIDA official.
While land above 4000 sq. meters will be allotted through online scheme, land below 4,000 square meters will be allotted through a lottery system. Moreover, the Authority will soon launch a similar scheme for institutional land allotment.
Meanwhile, the authority has already started the land acquisition process with consent taking meetings from farmers of the concerned villages. To have a smoother coordination, YEIDA has appointed a committee which will meet the villagers and note down consent for the proposed Greenfield Noida International airport. After the completion of meeting, officials will submit detailed report to the UP Government.
