The citizens of Telangana have a reason to smile as the state finally got their RERA portal operational from today. The announcement of Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority [T-RERA] took place last year and the administration was working on the web portal and office to implement this real estate law successfully in the state.
KT Rama Rao the Municipal administration minister will instate the RERA office at Masab Tank and the web portal will also be launched where the Telangana citizens can register their complaints. Apart from this, the realtors and real estate agents can also get themselves registered on the portal.
S Balakrishna the director of Municipal Administration department said that the authority has completed the trial run of the web portal and the registration procedure on the RERA web portal will become operational with the launch.
Earlier, the Telangana State went into an agreement with Maharashtra’s Mahaonline to maintain Telangana RERA portal for three years from its launch. The Maharashtra-based model will also prove helpful to the Government for updating information on the portal. The developers are required to pay a one-time registration fee of Rs. 750 under Telangana RERA which will be forwarded to Mahaonline as the registration fee. Similar to this, the Real estate agents are also required to pay a registration fee of Rs. 500 in the state.
According to an official, nearly 5,000 realtors in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation [GHMC] and Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority [HMDA] limits got approval for registration since January 2017 with Telangana RERA.
According to the RERA act, all structures covering minimum spaces of 500 sq meters and above are required to get registered with the RERA authority. These requisitions include both residential and commercial properties.
