In order to keep a check on ‘infiltration attempts’, Maharashtra government is planning to put information regarding the sale of redeveloped buildings of MHADA and the BMC on a digital platform.
Giving more details about this plan, CM Devendra Fadnavis said, “Currently no information was available regarding the sale of redeveloped buildings of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA), as well as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), so we have decided to bring them on a single digital platform by linking their documents to Aadhaar, so that information on their sale and purchase can be maintained online.”
He further said that thus the government is planning to bring all these buildings on one single digital platform so that exact information regarding them and to whom they are transferred can be made available here. All information will be available at one point and that will effectively check any infiltration attempt.
In reply to a supplementary query, Ranjit Patil, minister of state for urban development, said that a survey would be conducted by the BMC and security guards, to check infiltration attempts into its vacant buildings.
