In order to ensure transparency in allotments of property parcels, Noida authority has announced e-auction of commercial plots across various sectors. This is for the first time that the authority has decided to go digital with the allotment of land plots.
According to the authority officials, these commercial plots are available across sectors 1, 12, 16, 18, 20, 22, 27, 31, 36, 39, 40, 52, 58, 63, 64, 65, 69, 70, 71, 80, 82 and 84A Hosiery complex. Interested buyers can apply through the Authority-hired e-auction agency — https://property.etender.sbi by generating a user id and password before November 5.
Giving more information on the above, the official in-charge of the e-auction drive said, “The process is an exercise to ensure transparency in allotments. These commercial plots are available in two categories i.e.18 to 100 sqm and from 110 to 350 sqm.”
He further added that to help and facilitate plot buyers with the above digital process, the authority has also planned to hold a workshop on October 16, 23 and 26 at Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra from 2.30 to 5.30pm.
Welcoming the move Sudhir Srivastava from Noida Entrepreneurs Association (NEA) said that this is a good step to go for online auction of commercial plots. The move will bring in transparency and accountability. “Moreover, the process will ensure that genuine applicants get the plots rather than the earlier practice of mingling with the Authority staff for out-of-turn gains,” Sudhir added.
Association members also demanded that the similar process should also take for the allotment of industrial plots since most of us are going for online payments, applications and tracking of bills etc. It will also lessen the resident’s interaction with the authority officials and hence end the menace of corruption too.
