Nitin Gadkari, the Union Road Transport and Highway minister said that construction of Dwarka Expressway is likely to begin next month. Rs 7,000 crores is the estimated construction cost of this highway which will ease the traffic congestion between the capital city Delhi and Gurugram, Haryana. Nitin Gadkari shared this information while speaking as a Chief Guest in a function organized in Gurugram area.

The minister further said the construction work on several highway projects is in progress and we aim to build roads to minimize traffic jams. The proposal for building Dwarka expressway came as good news for both the aspiring home buyers and the property market in Gurugram, Haryana. This expressway will help people commute easily between Delhi and Haryana. Also, the commuters can easily reach their destination as the construction of Eastern Peripheral Road and Delhi-Meerut Highway will increase smooth travel across the Delhi-NCR region.

Nitin Gadkari further added that a flyover is proposed to be built at Shankar Chowk on NH8 that will offer smooth drive towards the Ambience Mall, Gurugram. The construction cost for this flyover is estimated to be rupees 170 crores.

The ministry has already completed the construction of the Eastern Peripheral Road [EPR] at a cost of rupees 15,000 crores. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate this highway next week.
