NDMC – North Delhi Municipal Corporation gave online approval for 3,340 building plans in the past two years. This procedure took place to ease the business policy an official said. The corporation also stated that 71 OCs [Occupancy Certificates] have also been issued in past two years online and nearly 54 same certificates are to be issued soon as they all are currently under process.
Adesh Gupta, the North Delhi Mayor was quoted saying that, the property owners are not required to visit the NDMC office, as we upload all rectifications/changes in the status related to the applications online and the same is notified to the applicant via SMS and email. Apart from this, the property owners can also download the digitally-signed certificates/completion plans from the NDMC website.
The North Delhi Mayor advised the property owners to apply for the completion/Occupancy Certificate in case they have moved in the building without the issuance of the same certificates from the authority. The owners can get these documents downloaded from the website soon after applying for them as inspection will not be carried out by the NDMC for residential buildings that measure up to 105 sqm. In case of these structures, the inspection carried out by the architect/engineer will be the basis for certificate issuance, Adesh Gupta, the North Delhi Municipal Corporation Mayor said.
NDMC has reformed various initiatives under the single-window clearance system. Gupta, the mayor also stated that the property owners can submit applications online apart from this, the building permits and completion certificates are issued online. The deemed approval of NOC [No-Objection Certificate] is issued within 15 days and the deemed sanction of a building plan in 30 days he further said.
