In its 126th board meeting, the Kanpur Development Authority [KDA] gave approval to five residential projects in the city under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana [PMAY] scheme.
Apart from this, the development authority also gave approval to build a multi-level parking in the park close to the registry office on the VIP road that is adjacent to the Kanpur court. The authority also gave nod for e-auction of properties belonging to the Kanpur Development authority.
Subhash Chandra Sharma, the Chairman of divisional commissioner chaired the meeting.
These five projects are sanctioned to be developed in Sachandi, Chatramau, Rooma, Chakeri, Mavaiya, Kulgram and Oochati villages.
The construction of multi-level parking is estimated to cost Rs.22.23 crores and this amount will be provided under Samagra Vikas Yojna run by the Department of Urban Development.
Other than this, the board meeting also passed the decision to sale unpopular properties on the first come first get basis. These properties are located at Wazidpur, Parshad Nagar, Arra, Bingawan, KB -2 Scheme, Gunjan Vihar, Naubasta, Khandepur, Deen Dayalpuram, Gangapur Macharia, Sanigawan and Barra.
The officials at the Kanpur development Authority also informed that the board gave approval to e-auction 104 properties against their reserved price of Rs.53.82 crores as they received Rs. 65.61 crore and eventually generated a profit of Rs.11.79 crores.
The commissioner also directed the officials to remove encroachments from the land owned by the Kanpur development authority and ordered them to offer land in the Cattle Colony to allottees along with making the transport system and parking places better at various important places. The commissioner also directed officials to identify locations for the construction of underpass and flyovers.
