The National Buildings Construction Corporation Ltd (NBCC) is planning to develop a financial hub on the lines of Mumbai’s Central Business District or Bandra-Kurla Complex or Gurgaon’s Cyber City nearby proposed Jewar International Airport. The development will take place on 3,500 acres land of Jaypee Infratech. NBCC has already given a presentation on this project before the Jaypee committee of creditors, saying that this hub will be home to leading IT/ITes companies, MNCs and other corporates.
As per the presentation, the NBCC has identified four land parcels of which two will be located near the Airport.
Giving more information on the above, A K Mittal, CMD, NBCC said, “We are planning to develop a sports city on the Greater Noida-Agra Highway, a skill development university with a focus on the real estate sector and an entertainment hub.”
The land parcel which the NBCC is planning to develop as a financial hub is just 10 km from the proposed international airport. Another land parcel is 30 km away from the proposed project. “Plans to create hotels, housing complexes are also included in the presentation,” Mittal added.
He further said that developing a financial hub near the airport will boost the economy of the area. Also, it will decongest Delhi, as many top corporates are planning to set up their base near the airport as the property price here is still on the lower side as compared to Gurgaon.
Further, with plans to link Jewar Airport and IGI airport, Greater Noida and Yamuna expressway will become future Gurgaon of NCR.
