The Haryana RERA is planning to make a system where private realtors and industry bodies can be roped in to complete the delayed projects in Gurugram. KK Khandelwal, the H-RERA chief chaired a meeting on Monday and said that a mechanism is underway and the same will be sent to the BJP-led State Government for final approval. He also said that the authority can deliver multiple residential projects once they get a green signal from the Government.
Praveen Jain, the President of NAREDCO [National Real Estate Development Council] a day before said that many realtors are showcasing interest to complete the delayed projects as the original developers of the same are either gone bankrupt or are not in a position to complete the construction due to various reasons. Some cases have a net worth positive but still, there are realtors who are seeking interest to take over the projects and complete them. Jain, the President also said that they had approached the State Government concerning same but there was no framework available.
H-RERA Chief Khandelwal said that till now 4,000 projects and 6,000 real estate agents have registered themselves with us we are only the facilitator in the case of delayed projects as successful completion of the same is our foremost priority. He further said that the RERA bench has resolved 15 cases between the buyer and seller/developer out of court and tries to do the same whenever we receive a complaint.
H-RERA further stated that the bench started working with a total 800 complaints with fewer resources but now the entire process is being streamlined which will assure the smooth functioning of the issues. Earlier, H-RERA said that all real estate projects fall under the authority.
