Out of the total 18,000 registered projects under MahaRERA, the GIS mapping of about 9,000 projects has been completed. The official said that the Geographical Information System mapping of the remaining projects registered under MahaRERA authority will be completed in coming two months. The homebuyers get an advantage of GIS mapping as they can have a look at the locality and its nearby areas where the projects are proposed. This is beneficial as the aspiring homebuyer can wisely think about whether to invest in the respective property or not.
Vasant Prabhu, the MahaRERA secretary said that GIS mapping is a transparent system and it is beneficial particularly for the homebuyers. This system is client-friendly and enables the homebuyers to have a look at all the project details and amenities listed by the realtors for their projects. The amenities are indicated on the maps with bubbles.
Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra was keen on commencing the GIS mapping in the state from June. The MahaRERA authority in collaboration with Mahaonline decided to help the aspiring homebuyers who wish to look for project details online along with the neighbouring areas and project amenities.
The officials also informed that a person or the aspiring homebuyer is required to click on the view map feature to open projects on the map. Once open one can zoom in and out to check the schemes in the respective area along with amenities, including hospital, school and grounds.
