The DDA i.e. Delhi Development Authority is ready to launch its 2019 Housing scheme today. The authority is offering approximately 18,000 flats including one, two and three bedroom apartments in Vasant Kunj, the plush locality of South Delhi.

Also, this housing scheme is the most expensive one till now as the 3BHK unit is being offered at a price between Rs. 1.4 crore to Rs 1.7 crore. The 2BHk apartment will make the applicant pay somewhere between Rs. 66 lakh and Rs. 1.4 crore. Similarly, the 1BHK flat under this housing scheme will cost a somewhere around Rs. 22.5 lakh and Rs. 56.3 lakh.

This time the Delhi Development Authority considered the market value especially of Vasant Kunj where the property cost is high in comparison to other areas. Usually, the authority offers flats at the cost price on the basis of no profit no loss.

In Vasant Kunj area, a total of 1,286 flats are offered out of which 336 are 1BHK. However, the maximum numbers of flats in Narela are reserved for the EWS [Economically Weaker Sections].

For the first time, the allotment process will be carried out online and one of the senior authority officials said that earlier we had both online and manual application process but this time the entire procedure will be carried out online.

The applicant needs to pay the application fee online by uploading the recent photograph along with a scanned signature. The authority will also send the documents like demand-cum-allotment letter, conveyance deed and more on the registered email id and contact number.

People can visit the sample flat no. 11, 12 and 14 at Block A1 near E2 Pocket area behind CNG Station, Mehrauli-Mahipalpur Road before applying for a flat in Vasant Kunj. The housing brochure will soon be uploaded on the website of Delhi development authority and the sample flats will be opened for a visit in Narela.

A person can apply till 10th May and the DDA has collaborated with multiple banks where the applicants can pay the registration fee. The fee has witnessed hike this time as the maximum registration fee is Rs. 2 lakh for both 2 and 3 bedroom flats.

However, the applicants have to deposit a registration fee of Rs. 1 lakh for one-bedroom LIG flats and the same is priced at Rs. 25,000 for the EWS category. The registration fee is refundable for the unsuccessful applicants and is returned later.

The official said that the LIG flats offered under this housing scheme are newly developed and are bigger in size in comparison to the previous scheme.
