The Building plans approvals will be offered online from now in Ghaziabad, informed an official. The officials also said that the structures measuring between 300 metre or less will get sanctioned within 24 hours that too without any manual interface. However, the building plans of more than the said size will be approved within a month.
Anita Meshram, Chairperson Ghaziabad Development Authority said that the decision was taken to minimize delays in sanctioning building plans, according to the directive of the state government at the board meeting of the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA).
Chairperson informed that the move will be effective from Monday.
The software will scan the submitted application online as per the guideline laid by the building bylaws of the GDA. The junior engineer will cross-examine the information submitted by the applicant on an immediate basis.
The junior engineer has to submit his/her report on plots of more than 300 metre within a week means seven days. Interestingly, the building plan will be sanctioned automatically in case the junior engineer is not able to submit the report within the set deadline.
Last week, the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) directed the single-unit plot developers to register their projects under the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). The procedure has to be completed within 30-days from now.
Before this, the authority had conducted surveyed to figure out properties where the developers have built extra units on the plot above the sanctioned limit. The authority found approximately 1900 extra flats that are built in three different sectors of Indirapuram.
The Ghaziabad Development Authority has already issued notices to the developers regarding the same.
