The Bengaluru Development Body plans to offer rebates to the home buyers seeking interest in buying BDA i.e. Bengaluru Development Body’s housing units.
G Parameshwara, Deputy Chief Minister announced this plan after holding a meeting of top officials a few days back where he was reviewing the progress work of the projects lying with the development authority. The Minister later said that the Government wants to excel the sale of BDA flats and thus we are planning to offer rebates on these units. The authority laid two rebate columns for the home buyers where 5% rebate can be availed by an individual homebuyer while those purchasing housing units in bulk will get 10%. These rebates can be availed if the housing units built on Mysore Road are being purchased.
The Bengaluru Development Authority has built apartment-style housing units in 10 localities in Bengaluru but few of them are still unsold and thus the authority is putting their best foot forward to get them sold. Apart from this, G Parameshwara, Deputy Chief Minister also said that the construction of villas is also in the pipeline as they are receiving good response from the investors for the villas they have built-in Bengaluru. The authority invested Rs. 250 crore for the construction of these villas and the new construction of the same is planned near Dasanapura on Tumakuru Road.
The Deputy CM further said that a proposal will soon be submitted to the State Government for getting cabinet approval as they have already planned to increase the work that is being carried out on the Shivaram Karanth Layout. The work process will gain momentum once the land acquisition of 3,564 acres which is spread over 17 villages on the city’s outskirts will be completed.
The deputy Chief Minister also gave nod to setting up an Innovative City which will cover 165 acres of land on Konadasapura, Old Madras Road.
