MDDA to Build 400 Living Structures for Low-Income Groups

The Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority [MDDA] has planned to construct 400 affordable homes for the low-income groups. These homes will be delivered to people falling under EWS [Economically Weaker Section] and MIG [Middle Income Group]. Also, these homes are proposed to be built on the outskirts of the Dehradun city.

According to an official, the MDDA has already received the location of granted land by the State Government and the DPR [Detailed Project Report] for this housing project lies with the Urban Development ministry.

The official also said that the Authority is targeting to complete the construction of these homes by 2020. Adding further he said, that 250 houses of this housing project are reserved for the people belonging to EWS group whereas the remaining 150 affordable homes will be delivered to the recipients who fall under the middle-income group.

These homes will be built by using new technology that is Monolithic Aluminium Concrete Technology. This technology uses an aluminium plastic composite for the casting of walls, floors, slabs etc.
